Green Travel Guru is a travel blog focusing on Eco-friendly adventure travel, created to inspire others to get off the beaten track and seek out extraordinary experiences. By going to new destinations, meeting locals, experiencing cultures and wandering through nature, we believe that traveling can enrich your life.
Our mission is to do this as sustainable & eco-friendly as possible. We try to do this by reducing our traveling with fuel powered transport, sustainable travel gear and bringing no harm to the environment and culture around us.
With our blog, we want to inspire you to do the same. Wander around, enjoy, experience and live, but take care of mother nature.
Tourism today is a billion dollar business, which is causing many Environmental and Cultural problems all over the World. By telling Travelers our stories, tips & advice, we try to increase the awareness about these problems. Hoping it will help preserve local Cultures and the Environment.
Crossing borders into the unknown like an explorer, discovering a new land, a new language, new money and all the little challenges that go along with it. Traveling makes you excited, more spontaneous and lets you live in the moment.
We believe it’s very important to see the world and experience different cultures. It opens your mind to new things, increases your knowledge and widens your perspective. Discovering different values and ways to get by in life is really interesting and is a life lasting experience.
One of the few things a Traveler really can't go without is ''Kindness''. In our opinion kindness is the most important value of traveling and should be kept alive at all times. We believe when traveling, always be kind and give a helping hand, one day you might need the same.
We are Gijs & Annebeth a couple passionate about independent Eco-travel, culture, food and outdoor adventures like: cycling, hiking, and camping.
We met each other in 2015, fell in love and since that moment we're a couple. From the day we met our main shared passion was traveling, seeking adventure and the unknown. Since then many adventures have been made, from living abroad in China, sleeping in the Sahara Desert or hiking up the dense jungles of Laos.
Recently, a new member joined our little travel posse.
Huub, an energetic Dachshund who, when not busy running behind his own tail, likes to come with us when we go on a trip.
We want to make your next adventure fun, affordable and one that helps you travel responsibly.
